Apostle Island Sea Kayak Weekend (Lake Superior) & 2 mile Swim (Point To LaPointe)



Two trips in one adventure


When: July 31-August 6 (Friday-Wednesday) Where: Apostle Island, Bayfield, WI



First Trip: July 31-Aug 2 The Point To LaPointe Swim (Bayfield to Madeline Island) Saturday August 1, Link to web site: www. Point2lapointe.com Drive to Bayfield on Friday July 31, support our club swimmers Saturday for the 2 mile swim. Costs for the swim and lodging not included in kayak trip.


Second Trip: Aug 2 –6 Apostle Islands Kayak trip Sunday, we’ll carpool from Milwaukee to Bayfield, WI. Monday, after the water safety training, we’re head out to the Apostle Islands. Over the 4 days, we’re paddle under towering cliffs, through caves and arches, past historic lighthouses, skim over a 19th century shipwreck to beautiful sand beaches. We have semi-primitive camping for (3) nights in the islands with beautiful beaches, picturesque sunsets, and gourmet meals. Level: Beginner-Intermediate No Previous sea kayak trip experience required. Water Safety Training before the trip


Costs: $435 (kayak, gear, food & guide) $395 (food & guide only) Have own 16’ or more kayak Hotel room at the Winfield Inn, Sunday night not included (Est $70 pp)
