Tuesday August 4th through Sunday August 9th, we have the Lakeshore group site reserved! This is the trip of the summer, just ask anyone who has joined us in the past. Don’t miss it!
TRIP UPDATES
· Annual State Park Stickers can ONLY be purchased online. Do it now and have the sticker (which will be mailed to you) or your printed receipt with you when you come. Get your sticker here: https://yourpassnow.com/ParkPass/wi
· We believe that the group camp sites will open at the end of June. If for some reason they do not open, all money will be returned. No risk to signing up, so please do so now.
· We are adding another awesome activity to this trip. On Saturday evening we will go to Newport State Park and set up for an evening of amazing star gazing. Newport is a designated dark sky park with very minimal light pollution so the view is incredible. Tom Bronson is bringing his telescope and will be our guide. If you plan to join us, bring a red lensed flashlight or headlamp and binoculars if you have them.
Organized events:
Friday: fish fry @ Sister Bay Bowl then sunset & Door County cherry margaritas at Fred & Fuzzys.
Saturday: potluck brunch with mimosas (prepare your favorite dish to share) & excursion (by kayak, bike or car) to Wilson’s for ice cream. Night sky viewing excursion to Newport State Park.
Sunday: Eight Annual Door County Tennis Open Round Robin tennis tournament. Hiking, biking, kayaking, boating, party island and awesome bonfires with s’mores every day! Kayak & bike rentals available.
The cost is $23 before July 6, 2020 and $28 after until the trip is full. Cost is the same if you come for one night or five. For non-campers the cost is $12. Includes: campsite and all events above except fish fry, margaritas and rentals.
